Groaning sounds when turning

04 GCL, 4.7 quadra drive system, the truck drives great in a straight line but makes a groaning sound when I turn hard left, can still hear it when turning right but not as much. Almost make the vehicle shudder and I can feel it as though it is working the rear diff or transfer case, is this because it is quadra drive? Is there some sort of friction modifier I could add to the diffs to help ease this or do I just live with it?

You probably need to change out the fluid in your front (and rear) differentials. Quadra drive will require a bit of friction modifier when you change out the fluid, but some brands come pre mixed. I would change the TC fluid at the same time, MOPAR 247 fluid only. And probably most important, it wouldn't hurt to flush the power steering with new fluid as well....

Re: Groaning sounds when turning

Is the transmission fluid tied directly to the p/s fluid or are they separate systems. I assume separate. There is this huge thing behind the rad that appears to be tied into the p/s system.

Thats the hydraulic cooling fan, which is powered by the PS pump. FYI the power steering fluid is not standard, and requires a MOPAR specific "MS5931" fluid.
