Transmission Over Temp
Hi, i have a 07 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Drove home from work. Went to start it 15mins later and it would not start.
Got a "Transmission Over Temp" message. Gauges, lights etc do not work when i turn
the key Any idea what the problem could be?

Re: Transmission Over Temp
Don't know if the key trick to checking codes works on WK's but try this.
Turn the key on then off, on then off, turn to on and wait. If the computer has thrown any codes they will appear in the odometer or it will just say done.
If nothing comes up and it still won't start try disconnecting the power for about 10 minutes and let the computer reset itself. See if it will start after that.
If it does start make sure the Jeep is level and let it warm up, put it in neutral and check your fluid level.

Re: Transmission Over Temp
If you can get a computer code it will tell you if it's a sensor or relay that is gone or going This way you can fix it yourself cheaper than taking it to the garage if you want.
