Re: CAI Advice needed
Just purchased LMI "Frank IV" CAI
Somebody have it? Any feedback on the sound? http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/attac...idurango-1.jpg |
Re: CAI Advice needed
Your not going to get much change in sound from a cold air intake. Look at aftermarket exhaust systems if you want sound.

Re: CAI Advice needed
aftermarket exhaust systems are very expensive
But some people say that the CAI can and does change the sound of the engine,,, |
Re: CAI Advice needed
CAI does nada for engine sound, only lets it breath easier. I've got one on everyone of my Jeeps.
Some people think there are UFO's in the tail of Halley's Comet too... Sorry, couldn't resist... |
Re: CAI Advice needed

Re: CAI Advice needed
A CAI will only make a difference in sound when the throttle is wide open. The whole idea of an "air box" is to quite down throttlebody noise. So if you were to get a CAI you will notice a difference in sound and performance, but after saying that CAI will make it louder but not that much louder. If your looking to set off car alarms as your drive down the road I would suggest looking into a performance exhaust.
