Looking for a roof rack solution that works with the flush rails on the new Jeep and doesn't look like a bulky wind-grabbing aftermarket contraption. Bought the kayaks, and went to get the Thule roof rack I'd scoped out last year, but they've been recalled. The flush roof racks on this Jeep model are too weak to handle gear on the roof at normal highway speeds according to the Rack Attack guy, and the parts are discontinued on the Thule site. Same story for Yakima.

Any solutions out there in the new Jeep Grand Cherokee world?

have you seen the rocky road roof rack
They also list a factory rack kit...
not too familiar with the WK2's, i know there is someone with one here and has a roof rack, will have to ask about it...
