Canada Realibility wise: Pentastar or Hemi?

I am in the market to buy a new Overland. Obviously it’s not cheap therefore I want to make sure that I buy an Overland with the right engine under the hood (V6 vs. V8). I am not concerned about the gas consumption.

So reliability wise which engine is better – Pentastar or Hemi? V8 obviously consumes more gas (2-3 liters more / 100 KM). But in the long run which engine is better?

I have ordered a Laredo with the V6, but #1 I am cheap, and #2 I am alone in the vehicle 90% of the time. The Overland is 200 pounds heavier, and with a few extra people and cargo, I would go with the V8. Most reviews call the V6 'adequate' which means 'gutless' IMO.
Besides, you guys have mountains out there!
Can't imagine a 350 V8 being LESS durable than a newfangled 24 valve V6.
Cheers!

Thanks for getting back. I was thinking along the same line....V8 is proven but V6 is new. But most articles talk about the new V6 is better (some have even said that the new V6 is the best thing the "new" Jeep has come up with so far). So thought to get some feedback from real people who actually have used these engines.
