I am looking to see if anyone has a .wav or .flac audio file for the output of the IR keyfobs. I was going to make my own remote instead of buying one, using higher outputting IR emitters along with multiple detectors.

 

Interesting idea, never heard of anyone doing it so far. Have you checked YouTube for anything? Keep us posted on your results.

 

I've looked around but not really found anyone doing it for a Jeep at least. I've searched around a few places. I may just need to buy a remote as there's probably a binding procedure (at least, there should be) and work from there.

Results may take awhile but will do.

 

Hopefully you can figure it out, I for one would love to be able to use my remote from more than 6" away from my Jeep. Never has worked properly even when new.
