I have a 98 grand cherokee and i have put a new head unit in and hooked up the factory amp to that it works good. My problem is trying to hook up a second amp to run my subs. Anyone know where i would hook up the remote wire to, have already tried the power antenna wire that didn't work cuz then my speakers wont work. any help would be good help thanks.

Default Re: Amp hook up problem

The amp is sensing for a 12v signal, you could run your remote wires to both amplifiers to get them to turn on, the actual amp power source is from the factory harness, and the amp install kit that you've got connected to the battery...

some people install a dedicated switch to the amp remote aswell so they can turn it off on the fly (like if you have a really loud system and you see a cop lol)
