oil leak with amc 304
 
hey just just bought a jeep cj7 with a 304 in it and coming home with it it started leaking oil somewheres in the right front....its not leaking down its somehow catching in the fan and spraying in entire motor...the oil filter is tight and can't seem to find where its leaking....has any1 ever had this problem and if so where was it leaking from.

It could be a bad seal somewhere.

Its hard to say without seeing it.

Try looking around the seals if you see anything dripping out.

well may be its a seal leakage.
better meet a mechanic.

it seem to be leakage of oils seals which you can't inspect, try to check this problem out with a professional mechanic so that this problem would clear within time.................:):):):):):)

Plug the pcv valve and rev it up a couple of times. You'll see where it's leaking

bes way is:

first clean up the engine with an engine degreaser .....(how can you see where it`s coming from if engine is all dirty )

second : wait that the engine is dry ...start it and look where it comes from


probably from the harmonic damper seal or a valve cover....
