I've got a 1948 CJ2A. We bought it in 1977 and had it running great. I went off to school, Dad parked it in the barn and it has not run in about 25 years. It is very clean and all the parts are there. I started the process to get it going but I'm not a mechanic and I bought a TJ instead. Anybody have any suggestion about what my 2A is worth to someone who knows how to get it going?

 

first
pull of the spark plugs

put some diesel fuel in the cylinders ...let it sit for 3-4 days

put some more , .....

try to trn engine over by crankshaft not with starter ....

if it turns , do at least 3-4complete turns

then change the oil + filter (mandatory )


then plug a charged battery & try to get it to turn over by the starter ....
if it turns over ,

try to put some gas in the carb it should try to start .....

do these and come back with results
