Tire size
The door sticker on my 2000 Cherokee Classic says 215/75R15. I have P225/75R16 on the Jeep right now. I thought all Classics came with 16's? The tire application charts on several manufacturers websites all said 16". My speedo is also out. When I travel the 5km markers on the highway I only travel 4.7 by my odo. To add confusion my spare is a P225/75R15. I need to buy 1 tire because of sidewall damage. They are only 6 months old so 1 new one will be close enough in tread depth.
Did all Classics come with 16"? Shadrach |
Re: Tire size
16"s where an option in 2000. The correct size is P225/70R16

Re: Tire size
I wonder why the door sticker says 15". The VIN on the sticker matches the dash one. Could the vehicle have been special ordered that way? The dealer printed off an option sheet for this VIN and it say 16" as well as fleet sale and sold in AB, so it's a local vehicle. Shadrach

Re: Tire size
My "99 XJ Classic says 215/75/15 as well... It came with 15" ECCO rims. they were the platinum ones, not the silver ones.
215/75/15... 27.69" diameter 225/75/15... 28.28 diameter this makes your speedo just over 2% slower than actual. |
