Default Stock air box

i am trying to find a way that i can use my stock air box for my cone K&N filter i have on my 99 xj with the 4.0 so i can still get lots of fresh air but i can keep water and dirt off the filter
any ideas or help would be great

I will be watching for some replies to your question. This is exactly why I never put a cone filter on my tj. After a good run under the hood its covered with mud and water.

the price i got it for i would not turn it down got it and the pipe for 45 and the filter along is selling for 59

I have the K&N Cone Filter in my XJ and removed the Air Box and mounted the cone with an bracket and took a old peice of drier pipe large diameter and made a sheild to protect it from the trail grime and road crap. It took maybe an hour to Fab up and now I have room to install second battery for winch.
