Default rust

oh boy went and had a look at my 94 xj with the carpet out today at the shop where I am having some work done, the cargo area is completly rusted out so are the floor boards, mechanic laughed at me and said I would be lucky to survive my first trail, I have already invested 10 times what I paid for the rig, should I cut my losses and run ($$$$) or invest more in new floor boards, rockers and mltiple other surgerys to have it last me a few years, not scared to invest a few more bucks. HELP

The engines (as long as it's a straight 6) are bullet proof in those as long as thedy are taken care of and maintained. I have one running 350,000 km on it and it still plows mud with no problem with 0 lift. If the engine is solid and your not afraid to invest you can have the jeep for ten more years aslong as you maintain the engine.
