OBD2 diagnostic tool

I have 98 jeep 4.0L cherokee. What model OBD2 tool should I get? My under dash connector has 7 wires on terminal 3,4,5,6,7,11&16. Any suggestions? Thanks...

You can use any OBD2 reader that you find, all depends on what features you want. If it only comes with one cable then you'll have to make sure it will work with your XJ but usually they will come with a couple different cables so it won't be a problem. They go from around 150.00 all the way up to 2000.00

i bought a nice little ob2 code reader for 60 bucks from matco tools...mac tools sell the same one for around the same price...i think you can get a similar one from napa as well...they are very handy...read and clear codes

I like the AUTEL scanner. Very cheap and read ENGINE, ABS, TRANNY. After 1996, the conector has 16 pines. Have a good day.
