locking brakes

hey just wondering if anyone has had any problems with their cherokee brakes locking up when you brake, without slamming on them. My problem is that now all the time even if i just slow press on the brake and then gradually come to a dead stop my brakes will lock. e-brake is not on and its not abs. please let me know if you have come across this problem before and help me.

thanks

I had the same problem after some Mountain wheeling, took the rear wheel off and dialed the drum brake adjuster back, problem solved. Dont go too far otherwise you got not rear brakes.

Hiya 204,
I'm by no means an expert but it may be that either your front calipers or the rear drum mechanism is seized. Could be that a careful dissasembly and lubrication is in order....just some thoughts.
