When it starts to knock then you can worry. LOL. Regular maintenance and the motor could go strong. Just compression test it if you have concerns

I am @ 350,000 km on my 89 xj, and 235,000 on my 96 Race xj , still going strong

Keep going I have a friend with a 95 grand cherokee with 400,000 km on it, rusted rockerpanels, needs a crank sensor but other wise rides really nicely.

300,600 km on my 4.0L, runs like a top. It gets regular oil and filter changes plus I keep it tuned up, wires, plugs and filters. No worries, I figure it'll easily do 500 to 600K

Its not the motor in these things its the rest of the Jeep all around it. Dont forget it is a Dodge try as hard as we do to believe its a Jeep it still has Pentastars on it.

The engine is a good one. I researched the same question years ago and found a lot of people quoting high milage with no problems. Sold mine at 235K still going strong.

345444 on mine and still starts and goes everytime despite wether it's -50 or not very strong motor

My 91 4L got to 475000km before the body fell apart. My current 99 has 329000km. I'll have sold or traded it by the time it hits 335000km

mileage is not important on these motors. thousands of years into the future, some archeologist will find one of these motors, put fuel into it and spin the starter and it will sart right up.

i just bought a 93 Grand with 225,000 MILES on it, (362,102 Km) not a spot of rust on the body with some love it should see significant more miles for sure

I have heard rumours of a million miles (1.6 mill klm.) on a jeep, not sure what model

oh im sure a million miles for sure, its the extent of work done on it, major repairs to bearings and seals and everything else... i mean so long as it doesn't literally blow up, you can pretty much fix anything and keep it running...
