High Beam Hiccup
New to this forum, so I'm looking for some wise men with jeep Cherokee's.
I've a '95 Cherokee, which has all of a sudden developed a love to display his high beams. No matter if the engine is running or shut off, the high beams are on, accompanied with the dashboard indicator.
Only way to shut the high beams off is to disconnect the battery or pull the fuse.
I'm thinking Headlight Dimmer switch in the steering column, or something to do with the Daylight Running Lights??
Any words of wisdom that someone may want to share?
Much appreciated,
Linty

It could be the Multi function switch, but the easiest way to check is unplug the DRL module and see if this solves your problem. If it does, you can either leave it unplugged or replace it.
Thanks for the reply Lostsoul
I'm actually just back in the house and was going to update that i had unplugged the DRL module and the high beam issue is now okay. I don't have daytime running lights but other than that, normal operation has resumed.
So you were absolutely correct with your comments.
For info, in case someone else was wondering, the DRL module was wedged between the windshield washer fluid container and the inner passenger side engine compartment.
Cheers,
Linty
