Heavy Duty Leaf Spring?

So I have a 92 Cherokee with a 3" lift and some bush bumpers which isnt a big deal but I have a steel roof and tire rack which probably weigh about 1500-2000 pounds in extra weight, so my rear leafs are sagging like mad, they're almost flat to be honest. I need to know if there is a more heavy duty leaf spring i can get off another vehicle and put in my jeep that will hold the extra weight!

Help me out? :)

Re: Heavy Duty Leaf Spring?

I used to have an 89 xj. The springs were in need of some work. I am one of the lucky people to have a friend close by that well is a jack of all trades (and a REAL good one) what we did was take what I had and added another leaf (long) to the pack and also put on a (Add-a-Leaf) these used to come in 1000 or 2000 lbs I believe. This was put on after the pack was installed. Which bought everything up to what it should be. Remember to design it in the same shape (look at what u have and how it is mounted every detail as it cannot be slipping around once u remount it) To tell u what the old springs came from I don't remember. I hope this gives u some idea of what u can do.
You might just try the Add-a-Leaf the max one believe its 2000 lbs might do the trick if not then ur going to have to rebuild u pack..
