Default 2015 Cherokee complaint

I love my ’15 Cherokee N but I have one complaint: Jeep’s stupid idea of not having an Eco button, instead having an automatic “sleep” mode when the vehicle is stopped and as soon as your foot goes off the brake the engine kicks back in. What tool ever had the remote idea that this was a good idea?! They say it is supposed to cut down on emissions, yet plays havoc on the engine over time re: start-stop-start-stop.

Yes, I know you can turn it off manually but is there any way to turn it off forever? I asked my dealership and they can be as dumb as wood sometimes.

That's what is called progress - like the air pressure sensors that are expensive for what so that one doesn't have to periodically check the tire pressure. :)
Oh I used to love my old 89 cherokee none of this bs and when I opened the hood I saw a motor not like now covered in plastic....

I have the same beef... Never mind saving money on gas and protecting the environment from emissions, how about kicking the crap out of my engine for 5000 stops and starts... I'm ADD too, I NEVER remember to shut that darn thing off until it stops at a light... ARGH! Going to a dealership tomorrow for some other work... Will inquire about a permanent solution to this ridiculous problem.
