1998 Cherokee XJ For Sale
 

For Sale – 1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport (XJ) 4-door. 4WD Selec-Trac, auto, ABS, air conditioning, full size Goodyear spare. Dark green with grey interior. 416,000 km.

Not certified – only because I don’t have time to get it done right now. It runs fine (including the 4WD and the air conditioning); I was driving it right up until last week, when I was lucky enough to get another Cherokee, and I can’t keep both. I did get it it e-tested today and it passed with flying colours.

It’s been well maintained, but is now due for an oil change & tune-up. I’ve owned it since 2000, and would be happy to provide all maintenance & repair records. The most recent notable repair work includes new rad (2010), new universal joints, ball joints, etc. (2009), new front & rear shocks (2007), and new alternator (2005).

Comes with nearly new (less than 30,000 km) Artic Claw TX-1 235/75R15 tires, which are on it now. Also can come with 2 Goodyear all-seasons (same as the spare tire) if you would like to have them (no extra cost).
The stereo in it is an older CD player, good quality. I also have the original stock cassette stereo if you would like to have it.

It was in an accident in 2001, with damage to the front driver’s side corner, but was completely repaired by the dealership under insurance at that time. There is some rust on the top front corners and on the rear door (see photos). The child lock for the windows is stuck on, so the passenger windows cannot be opened unless the driver does it. The front bar of the roof rack doesn’t lock in place.

Please note that I'm very flexible on the price, so if you are interested at all please don't hesitate to contact me with your offer. I need to sell it by the end of June, and would much prefer seeing it go to a fellow Jeep enthusiast if that is possible, as opposed to just taking it to the wrecking yard.
