OI!

Hello all! I'm just giving a quick shout out to everybody here as I'm new on this site. I do have a question though. It's specific to Quebec. WTF are the regulations regarding modification? Can't find them anywhere. Just got back from my vehicle inspection (moved here from AB) and I was told that I have to lower my TJ by at least 2 inches. I only have a 3 inch lift on the damn thing! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Were they talking about the height of your Jeep or the height of your bumper? Some provinces and states are pushing legislation through about bumpers.
Something about the difference in the height of the bumpers on a lifted vehicle compared to a regular car/ truck.
They did a big month long purge on all the pavement princessess in McMurray last October. How high the bottom of the bumper was off the ground, how much of the rear tire was covered by the bumper and if you had mudflaps or not, etc. Was quite the annoyance, would get stopped 2-3 times a day all month.

Yes there is a limit to the height from the bumper to the ground in quebec, what it is exactly I don't know thats why we try (modificated jeeps) not to attract the attention of the b.....ards in the white cars with the blue/green marking. The best way to get around your problem if your running say 33's or 35 in tires is to get hold of a set of max 235's on 15" rims and put them on for the inspection it will lower the height and will pass. I had a set here for the longest time and used to loan them out to the guys when they had to go thru an inspection but since then have sold them.
