do you intend to use it for off road use of any kind?

Sahara's are a pretty decent platform and can get alot of the Rubicon JK upgrades, basically you miss out on a few things electronic swaybar disco, the 4:1 rock trac transfercase and the front lockers... (you can order it with a rear, so see if it has one)

now if your planning on offroading and bumping it up to a Dana 44 up front and installing a locker in the rear and regearing the thing then its not so bad you still loose the electric disco and 4:1 transfercase but still have a machine very capable offroad.

if its sticking on the road and hardpacked trails then no worries it'll do just fine, and still be able to get thru some tricky stuff if you drive smart.

what ever you do, do not buy the extended warrenty! Make sure you check around at several dealers and talk to the service managers and not the sales department to try and get a feel for how they will treat you..... for the smallest reason, they will tag your vin then if you're vehicle has to be looked at for any reason, then you will have to pay a diagnostic fee up front and agree to have repairs completed at the dealer regardless of warrenty.

Buying the extended warranty for my truck came in handy when the transmission went. I've never had to pay a diagnostic fee for anything done at the dealership and it is illegal in every province for a manufacturer or a dealership to "force" you to have repairs done at their facility. Just a personal opinion and my 2 cents worth.

To the OP, you don't say where you are so it's pretty hard to tell you where a deal is at, with the economy the way it is you should be able to get a fair price on just about anything right now.
Go look around, if you like the service your getting then buy it there. If not go to another dealership.

not sure what your trany was worth but at 1800 for an extended warenty doesn't sound like a good deal to me.... And just to set the record straight, the dealer is not forcing you have repairs done at their location. If they tag your vehicle for reasons of abuse (can be as simple as dirt on the serpentine belt... no joke) then you will be required to pay a diagnostic fee up front any time you bring your vehicle in and question warrenty. At that point they have you agree to have and pay for repairs to be done there if not covered by the warrenty.... so their not forcing you but rather asking your permission... if you say no then fine, ther're not looking at it... That being said, if you have a legitimate warrenty claim you will be refunded the diagnostic fee and you will not have to pay for repairs.

Tranny was 7200.00 (New not rebuilt/ refurbished)
To set the record straight as you put it the OP was asking where to get a good deal on a 2010 Jeep. Not your personal views on problems that you've obviously had with a dealership. Again my 2 cents.

To the OP, sorry for the hijack. Hope you enjoy your Jeep.
