New from Van. Island and looking to buy.
Hey I'm joining to learn more about jeeps as I'm looking into getting one as my camping/winter vehicle. I currently drive a 2006 Mustang that well.. Is only good on dry-moist pavement haha. Hoping to get some advice on what to look for and then if I'm getting a good price if you guys don't mind. I hope that's not a common request and piss off.
I'm looking for a 2000 or up YJ/TJ (ok, I haven't figured out what all the j's mean yet, don't judge) that won't give me too many issues. Is there a price range I should be looking for or editions I should look for or anything? I'm thinking of getting one with an existing lift/tire set so I don't have to save up too much over time to make it better. Consider me a complete Jeep newb. About me, I'm a 23 girl and I live on Vancouver Island. I commute 60 km both ways for work on the inland highway but am used to mid-crappy gas mileage. I already belong to MustangCanada which is an awesome site and I love the interaction there, hoping this is a good one too. |

actually I did see a nicely built TJ in comox/courtney yesterday... it was just over the bridge headed towards the super-store. looked like a used car place, had a bunch of new travel trailers and such in it. you should go check it out

Cool thanks, I hate Courtenay but I'll make myself drive through it one day next week and check it out.
