in the past i have fixed up a 68 belvedeere gtx also a 69 impala ss a 85 ford f150 4x4 after taking a15 year break from working on cars i decided to get bank in to it when last year i bought a 1971 jeep cj5 with a v6.i have wanted to do a jeep project for about 10 years but never found the one i wanted.most were over priced and beat to death or such bad mods done to them it would make you sick.believe it or not this 71 cj5 has no rust holes on it only a little surface rust.floor pans are solid,frame is straight.and the body and fenders arent banged up.i took it in to get it sand blasted and when i picked it up the guy said he has never seen a 71 in such good shape and said he had several pepole intrested in it,but i,m keeping it.the whole power train is coming out and going to be sold.i just wanted the body and frame.now as for mods to this jeep lets just say i have a set of 2.5 ton rockwells coming in from canton ohio.should be here by spring break.i will post pics later on.this seems like a good site keep up the good work.long story behind calling it[project ditch pig].
