New Jeephead

Hi everyone. Don't own a jeep yet, but have always wanted one. Am considering a build or restoration and really like the Scramblers. Am researching other builds and came across this site. Hope to begin soon and thought this site might be invaluable when I do. Look forward to meeting and talking with other Jeep lovers.

Re: New Jeephead

Thanks for replying! I really am new to the jeep talk... but i'm in love. Im interested in getting a wrangler anywhere between year 1995-2000. I like the old look... where would I even begin to look to purchase one, with or without the lift kit already - with would be ideal of course :) I definately don't want to purchase something that was someone elses problem either, so I will have to get info on what to look for in buying a used jeep.
Thanks for your time :) :)

Welcome, and great choice going Jeep!!

Your model year 1995 to 2000 bridges two vintages of the Wranger, the YJ and the TJ. Check Autotrader, Wheels.ca or even Kajiji you can still find them in their stock form (no lift) SInce the YJ is older, you may have more of a difficut time finding one in good shape.

Regardless, what ever you end up with, it will be a Jeep, you win...just be sure to wave.

WHen you narrow it down if you post looking for opnions on what to get, the guys and gals on this forum will help...allong with our honest opnions too.

Good luck!

Hey !! One thing I noticed but hasn't been aked , what's your budget $$ ? If you buy newer you might blow the budget and not be able to afford the lift kit , bigger tires and the other 50 million gadgets you'll see !

oh that's definately a good place to start! and I for sure don't wanna break my bank! Im looking at (for the body itself at least) anywhere from $6,000 to $10,000 (lemme know if that's a silly budget to have I'm 23 and just starting to get on my financial foot) so that I will be able to affored the monster tires and gadgets here and there! If I could find one thats decently priced with the lift kit already that would be cool...
Thank you so much for your input I really appreciate it :)
