Hello from Ontario!
I'm semi-restoring a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee ltd. And by that I mean to say, for now I'll be getting it road worthy and then off road worthy after that :)
It's a very solid vehicle, fairly high mileage (260000km) but the engine is tight, runs smoothly, doesn't drip on the garage floor...yet. Little to do at this point outside the standard brakes all around, shocks and exhaust system. It's had a rub against a fence line at some point so I have some body work to do as well. I'm hoping to share my progress as well as ask for tips...like does every rear latch on every vehicle ever made stop working eventually? If all goes well this machine will make a great road runner and a very comfortable off roader! g :3gears: |
Re: Hello from Ontario!
Welcome to the Forum. And to reply to your first question ... NO.. I had a 89 xj and never had any problem with the rear door, did with the wiper motor on it. You just have to keep all the locks and door mechanizes well lubed..WD40 works well in displacing water.

Re: Hello from Ontario!
I'll keep it lubed for sure. After looking closer it seems that the plastic tip has snapped off one of the arms...add that job to the list :)
