hello from a newbie

Hello all,

Being retired, well, its great. I will get bored, so, its time to do something new.

I restored a 24 ft pontoon boat, purchased last fall, in the water and basically finished off. I was ready to do another one, my wife suggested something more useful like a vehicle. No stranger to working on cars and trucks, have restored a 73 Firebird, a 79 Lil Red Express, worked on numerous cars and trucks. Sold my Cherokee a few years ago, that was fun, welded in new rockers, used a 4 x 4 ft patch panel on the floors, kept it going until rust destroyed the rest of it.
Considering a CJ7 to start with. Just reading and wondering what to start with.

Anyways, not afraid of getting dirty, but I want to stay away from computers, sensors, electronic modules. If I do a Jeep, I want it to be road legal, but do some light trails, such as abandoned or current logging roads.
