Allow myself to introduce....myself...(89 Wagoneer limited)

:cAnada:

Howdy Jeeps Canada, my name is Adam and I am a proud Jeep owner.
I am a carpenter based out of Kamloops, B.C., and I have a Jeep project on the go.
I am not only a newb to this forum, but to the inner workings of my 89 Jeep Wagoneer Limited as well.
I could build you an addition to your house, a fantastic deck, or make the interior of your home the envy of the neighbors...but I'll be damned if I can figure out how to replace the power steering pump:confused: on my dear little Delilah.
I had it on the road some time ago, and there was a fire (source unknown...possibly electric or from a leak in the power steering pump?).
There is little in the way of cosmetic damage, but I need to get it back on the road asap; so I am going to be undertaking a scrapyard re-build to get her roadworthy again.
This is just a temporary measure as I do quite enjoy the Jeep, and would like to keep it as my daily driver for years to come.
I'm even planning a tow trailer build to match the colour and trim scheme of the Jeep.
But first things first...get her back on the road. I hope I can get some help here with my project; and I tell ya' what, I'll even answer some questions for any of you if I can about carpentry.

welcome to the forums. Changing the power steering pump should be fairly straight forward, can't remember if you need to remove the pressed on pulley or not, if you do just pull it with the mounting bracket and do the same with the scrap yard replacement. There's a tensioner bolt that you might also have to remove. You'll also need appropriate wrenches, a saw and hammer won't work for this job, lol. A sense of humour is also usefull on here. goo luck.

Welcome to the asylum! I too am a carpenter, and I even used to live not far from you... Barriere area is beautiful. I lived just down the road from east barriere lake resort. Hope your rebuild goes well, and Sunday nights we host a chat around 8:30 Toronto time if you want to join in.
