What Oil to put in a Jeep Liberty

Hi All,

I'm sure this topic has been beaten like a dead horse :)

I just bought a 2003 Jeep Liberty with 114,000km on it. This is my 3rd Jeep, and its nice to be back. The Jeep runs well, but I would like to feel it run a little smother and since I do not know the full history of the Jeep was thinking of putting synthetic oil in.

I only have run synthetics in my high performance bikes, boats and snowmobiles. So I'm not sure if a Jeep Liberty would really benefit or am I wasting my $$$.

My main goal is to get another 100K+ out of it and still running strong.

Thanks,
Peter

I run synthetics in my Jeep and have in all my other vehicles. Depends on what you consider a benifit to make it worthwhile. I have a 2000km return trip between home and work every second weekend so doing oil changes every 6-7th trip instead of every 2 1/2 is economical for me even at the slightly higher price for synthetics.
