Default Should I buy?

Looking to buy 2009 Wrangler Unlimited because it looks awesome but are there many problems with quality and maintenance?

Are there problems with the roof leaking?

Thanks

Since it's a 2009 you're looking at it's a little hard to judge what the quality and maintenance will be like. There's no real history on 2009's yet, is there?? I'd say you'll probably have more little headaches than with a conventional vehicle, but then again you won't be driving a conventional vehicle. You'll be driving a go anywhere beast.

If I had the money for a 2009, personnaly I'd look for a much older one and restore it to better than new condition. But that's just me. I hate bells and whistles.

My bare bones 98 needs constant attention but overall it's the greatest vehicle I've ever owned in 30+ years of driving. It just depends what you're expectations are and what you plan to do with it.

And my hardtop has never leaked, but I don't see why you're worried about that since you'd be covered under warranty anyways.

THanks for the response. Just wondering what specifically little headaches I would have to deal with and what things need constant attention on your Jeep. Is it really that bad like any other truck or it it much worst compared to say any Japanese model.

Jeep's are no worse than any other vehicle out there, IF you maintain it properly. Even checking your tires and fluids weekly can add years to the life of any vehicle since you catch developing problems right away, not when your on the side of the road.
Being a 2009 and not many out there yet it would be hard to tell of any little quirks that people have found with them yet. If you like it, buy it. You know you wanna. :)

Since mine is a '98 with 150,000K+ on it, everything always needs a little attention, but everything still wors, and with a little preventive maintenance you won't get stuck on the side of the road like a lot of rice burned drivers I've noticed lately.

And I don't know what kind of trucks you're talking about, but every truck I've ever driven took one hell of a beating and still kept running. They didn't break down because they weren't made out of plastic. And when they did, they didn't cost a gazzilion Yen to fix.
