Jeeps in the Philippines

Have you ever wondered our jeeps in the Philippines look like and how they are being used?

Jeeps in our country are used for commuting. They come in various colors and prints. They originated during the time of the Americans when they arrived in our country. The jeeps that they brought here were used for the military in their operations. Right now, jeeps or PUJ's as what we call them (public utility jeepneys) are very popular all over the country and is very widely used for transporting the passengers to their work or to their schools.

However, there are still others who use the old kind of jeeps for their personal use and it is one of the most durable cars in the place.

Interesting - they look quite well decorated, and a lot of them are "stretch jeeps".

What are the roads like generally in the Philippines?
