Default Hard top repairs

Has anyone ever had to fix chips or cracks in a hard top?
I have a used 2009 which has some damage to the hard top (poorly stored?)And body shop suggests painting entire top or just replacing. Any suggestions?

If your buy a new one they are pricey, unless its got cracks in it I'd be more inclined to repair it and repaint as ur body man suggested. Chk with some 4by4 stores in ur area see what they can quote u on price. Since u don't specify where in BIG Ontario u are your replies may be limited Good Luck

I may have to just live with the damages for now. There is one spot that seems like a surface crack near rear window.
I'm located north of Toronto.
Thanks for the input,
