extended warranty
 

hi I am waiting for a 2011 grand cherokee to be delivered. Does anyone know what kind of deals you can work on extended warranty with the manufacturer here in Canada? I read that in the US you can negotiate a fair bit off.

I'm in the same situation... They actually offered me a 7 year extended warranty at a "discounted" price of 3500 (from 4200). This is for the 2011 Grand Cherokee Limited. Is this a fair price in Canada??

Why not give a few dealers a call, tell them ur interested in buying a 2011 and want to know what kind of warrantee deal they can give you.. you don't have to give your name.. hay your shopping.. not buying as far as their concerned.

the sales guys that I've spoken with claim that they don't deal with the extended warranty side, and that this is handled by the finance guy once you negotiate the price of the vehicle. They only gave me ball-park ranges.

I don't know too much about all the hogwash on warrantee's, but doesn't it stand to reason that you negotiate one with the company your buying from, the finance company gets u in the end when it comes down to the total your going to finance. I'd still be inclined to ask questions to a few dealers and not just one you have been dealing with

I was told they did not deal on the price. 6 years/ 120,000 is $3245 and 7 years /115,000 ( yes it is less mileage) is $3455. Plus HST on both. After the first year thre prices go up.

3455? So much for giving me $500 off on the 7 yr plan... Is there any way to confirm these prices online? Most other car manufacturers allow you to build aprice with warranty options. I did not see this for Jeep. Thanks

Chrysler Gold 4 year / 80,000 km - $1155 plus HST
Chrysler Gold 5 year / 100,000 km - $1755 plus HST
Chrysler Gold & Powertrain 6 year / 120,000 km - $3245 plus HST
Chrysler Gold & Powertrain 7 year / 115,000 km - $3455 plus HST

Proud owner of a new 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee 70th Edition, Black with tow package, navigation and sunroof. Got it for $4k below MSRP, +$2500 for 7yr/115KM, + free winter mats and reduced price on a few accessories (chrome fog light inlets, chrome side mirror covers, illuminated door sills, and rear cargo mat). Also got 0% financing for 60 months. I think I did good... :-)
