Best Jeep for towing??
Hey what's up ppl? I've been looking into getting myself a Jeep Wrangler of some sort, I enjoy the outdoors and love mudding, riding trails etc.. But I also enjoy fishing. I own a small aluminum boat that is really light but I do plan on upgrading in the future. I know Jeeps aren't the ideal vehicle for towing but honestly I just want an all in one vehicle that I can do all the things noted. Anyways my question to you guys is which Jeep is the absolute best for towing? Has the highest LBS cap and features? The jeep I buy will be a 4 door!! At the moment I can't afford brand new, somewhere in the $10,000 range. I just want to know which one is best, what features do I need to look for and ask about. I've been obsessed with this idea for awhile now and have googled this question a million times but keep getting mixed answers anywhere from 1000lbs-3500lbs so I'm confused to be honest, I came across this site and am familiar with forums so I figured who better to ask then you guys haha. Thanx for your help. Cheers

With that kind of price range in mind I would try looking at xj's or zj's they're comfy and spacious for highway use and towing, and very capable off road.

Re: Best Jeep for towing??
The JKU with tow package (3.73) is good for up to 3500 lbs.

Re: Best Jeep for towing??
Yep the JKU (4 door) is the best, if you buy the tow package it comes with the 3.73 gear ratio and also comes with a tow sway control system. From what I heard buying automatic you will need a transmission cooler, buying a manual you'd be ok.
