Jeep DJ-6 1965 ???

12 Attachment(s)
Hi, My name is Pascal. I'm from Quebec.
I bought this weekend an old jeep. Seller told me that its a CJ-6 1962.
It has been title like this at least.
I did some research and found that it should be a DJ-6 1965.
Serial # is 8605 10062.
Does anyone know that model?

Sweet.

I'm not familiar with these but I thought the DJ had a sliding door like a mail truck.....maybe just another variant.

Pascal,

I looked in to what Mopar may have but we don't carry Jeep parts that old as we didn't own the brand at that time.
I will provide you the link to the Mopar Performance catalog though in-case there is anything in there you may be able to use or may want.

Good Luck and keep us up to speed on the rebuild!

A bit late but the DJ5 / DJ6 were two wheel drive for the Postal Service. They came with sliding doors and right hand drive to give safe access to rural mail boxes.

I think yours is a four wheel drive CJ6 with an after market hardtop.

The Jeep DJ6 is a Longer Wheelbase Variant of the Jeep DJ5 Dispatch which was Famous for its use in the Postal Service
