2011 or 2012 Jeep Wrangler 4 door Unlimited?

Okay, Serious thoughts here.
What would you do?
Get the Wrangler 2011, now, with the rebates offered?
or wait for the 2012 with the new engine and more Hp?
There is no need to rush here.
I think the 2012's go into production in July, can they be out by early fall? Also, do you think the MSRP will increase substantially?
I know many are wondering about Mpg, but more importantly what about the power of the hp? Currently only 202 hp may go as high as 283hp.

I'm waiting.

There will always be incentives to buy. However, be prepared for a higher list price on the 2012 models. Nothing confirmed of course, but if they do announce a 2012 with pentastar, they may charge more for it.

Really depends on if you WANT to wait or not. There will always be something new coming out next, right?

Great question...my 50 cents worth....

-Pentastar has been anounced, they will stuff this mill into the JK
-More HP, no offical # yet.
-More MPG yep, no offical # yet...my personal bet inside my head....10% better. Hope I'm wrong, and low :)
-Will there be an increase in MSRP...I think so. When the 2011's came out theres was a slight increase...1,200.00 or so...but most manufactures bump up prices a wee bit....right or wrong...they do it..geezzzeee.
-rebates right now sweet! Hands down.

I'm shopping for our 2nd JK, and I'm waiting to see what becomes of the 2012's. There should be news soon, and ya July sounds about right for new model production.

If there's no rush, play it cool, wait....

-you will not be sorry when you see the specs on the 2012
-if it's too much $$, I have to think any current 2011 on the lot will be discounted to move quicker

Keep a close eye on things, your local dealer, this site, Jeep's web site, get a feel for how things are progressing.

I'm a firm beleiver in 'Good things come to those who wait'

End the end you will rock a Jeep, so you win either way. :)

How many of you guys decided to wait? I actually did :) very happy with the 2012. Offroad, power should not be an issue unless you are planning to go for offroad racing, but let me tell you that on the highway it makes a difference. If you use your Jeep as a daily driver, it might have been worth the wait. Of course the 2012 is a bit more expensive, especially in my case because I bought a special edition, but in that price range, it is not 1k or 2k that should prevent you from buying. Some people on Jeep forums are writing they bought the 2011 and are presently considering the switch for 2012!

Cheers :)
