'12 Exhaust heat shield rattle
My exhaust heat shield has come completely off the weld studs and is now resting on top of my muffler.
My buddy who has an 09 had the same problem, and apparently fixed it with M6 nuts and some washers.
I have looked at it, and the studs appear to be threaded but I can't get the nuts to thread on for the life of me. Let it be noted I have a 2012, so not sure if the mounting changed.
I will provide some pictures after work but any advice would be greatly appreciated!

oldfart has a good point, should still be covered under your basic warranty depending on your kilometers (3 years/60,000kms).
I haven't seen many cases of this happening on it's own. Did it just come down all of a sudden one day?
