Installing my Iron Rock Offroad 4" Lift... yep im going up a whole inch LOL...

My track bar bolt was siezed in the sleeve so had to break out the saws all and cut the bolt out... so now im waiting for crappy tire to open so i can pick up some hardened bolts for both ends...

picked up a Addco rear sway bar too, which i've wanted ever since i owned a WJ lmao... should really help out the on road performance,

I upgraded the shocks to the Doetsch D8000 pre runner shocks... and just bounce testing the rear theres a big difference... it reminds me of when i've done shocks and springs on the mustang, so i really cant wait to see how she drives...

only other hang up i may have is making my own bar pin eliminators from old ZJ rear upper shock mounts... put them on the front lower's, considering the shock length she's going to flex like CRAZY... and im removing the factory bump stops since the shocks have their own bump stops built in!

having issues now with the tcase I have 4 wheel low no problem works great, but cannot get 4 wheel HI.

VC is good. I get FULL power to the front when in 4W low.
I don't see any sensor or switch on the tcase. now there is a
Plunger
spring shift detent
vacuum switch seal
screw

all in that order ^^ on the bottom of the tcase. possibly the plunger & spring are bad. this is the only thing I can see. ordered these items from the dealership and going to give it a go tomorrow when they come in. possible the spring is bad and not engaging the plunger for 4 wheel high??? or the seal is bad and not holding pressure in the case.
at the dealership they told me cause I'm getting 4 wheel low the coupler should be good then. Which is why they suggested this plunger, detent spring & seal seeing the plunger might not be engaging something to hold pressure for the 4 wheel high.

If the plunger and seal are part of some kind of hydraulic valve that is associated with the operation of the progressive coupling, that could be why the dealer is suggesting that ???

Perhaps, it is a hydraulic control function that is the problem and the coupler itself is fine.

Put in a new battery last week. Canadian tyre wanted 38.50 to change it, screw that, I changed it in the parking lot,(minus 17 with a wind) took about three minutes. Took back the old one and it took twenty minutes to get the twenty bucks back.

The 97 zj is not mine anymore but it's still in the family so I guess it still qualifies. Changed the water pump ( who was the idiot that thought it was a good idea to mount the power steering pump to the front of the water pump). Also changed a few electrical connectors (trying to track down a weird charging issue).

Actually nothing to do with the topic. "Oldfart" why not change the Jeep Year to what you are running now (red Cadillac ride) as the 89 has gone to the jeep heaven along with my xj years ago? :)
