I was given two old jeeps over 20 years ago. One is tagged and is a 1957 CJ-5 needs a motor job won't run. The other is a CJ-6 Tuxedo park, I got it runningand repaired the T-86 trans and STUPIDLY used this jeep to plow snow on my property for the last 20 years !! Well this year the trans finnally let go and I have discovered this jeep is certainly one of only 459 built and I have great suspicion this is a 1967 and one of only 20 built.............. This is the HOLY GRAIL of jeeps and I have been abusing it for the last 20 years !!!!.
I am rebuilding the trans and will finish the year plowing with it and I now plan to restore it to original glory. I need help with the VIN,
I have found on the frame vin 8422A10284. I can't find info on the serial numbers so I need some expert help. btw this CJ-6 was sold by Agincourt motors.

Here are a few pics,
This CJ-6 was involved in Rally racing in Canada in the 70's
She has a posi rear diff, Warn locking front hubs, T-86AA transmission. V-6 Buick that just rocks.
I think the frame vin means this is build #10284 but how can I identify the exact year, The vin tag is missing and all I have is the frame #
I do not yet have a title for it. I have found one of the other 20 in California it has vin # 8422S10430

This is for sure a CJ-6 tuxedo park with a 10 digit vin,
last 5 digits meaning build #10284. No information I have uncovered can tell me the year built ?? still researching ...........
QUESTION : Does the dash gauge pod have part numbers or any other numbers to help confirm the year built ?
I removed and squirrelled away the dash pod when I got this jeep, it iis in great condition but now I gotta find where I stashed it LOL.
Any information would be of great help. Is there a Jeep registry anywhere ?
