on barely a turn my jeep decided to slide out and all 30mph of momentum put me into a spin and sent me heading to the ditch...



both passenger side windows are broken, the rear driver is just down for the dog



landed on its wheels, and drove it right out of the field!
the rear passenger tire got a pinch flat, had to change that and made it the rest of the way home...

but my brother and I were fine, my dog is sleeping it off, poor guy hit the roof, but it could have been much much worse, only in a Jeep

nah pride isn't hurt, its not like it wasn't a skating rink down here, even if i was going 10 mph i would have ended up in the ditch... i lost no momentum in the spin, and was fighting it the entire time... i just hate the fact it happened, my jeep got me thru it unscathed, and its in suprisingly good enough shape i think they MIGHT fix it... but considering the underlying problems (the bent axle and cracked tranny) they might total it out...

Well havn't figured out whats going on yet, Buddy i work with has had a wrangler hanging out in the back yard for 4 weeks now, it hasn't moved. asked him what the deal was and its something his father just doesn't want at the house anymore, so i asked if they were selling it, their going to get up with me on a price...

If the price is right i think im going to pick it up... if not im going with a XJ or ZJ... i havn't quite figured that one out yet... most likely a ZJ, i dont like the feel of leaf springs on the trail...

i was wondering what the hell had happened to you, assumed right out of town + heartattack... thats not the greatest of news Dan, hope your doing well man.

but yeah they totaled it out, estimated $15,000 in damage, since the tranny was cracked i opted out of keeping it... that and they gave me more than i paid for it! so im really not too stressed about it... daddy's leaning towards a ZJ or a XJ... more on the ZJ... unless i can find a stupid deal on a XJ then i'll get it too...

hopefully in the next few weeks i'll pick up my new one.. i've got pleanty to choose from and their all in great condition so its finding a steal

95 XJ with 150k on the mill, dual exhaust pre-axle, i believe its got the tow package so im assuming 3.73 gears, great shape new rad and waterpump, not a spot of rust...

$1000 from lady friends brother... hmmm i just might!

ran into a buddy of mine who was thinking about picking up a jeep and wanted some power... told him the good bad and ugly, he picked up a 06 Rubicon, 4.0L the bastard... 6 speed 4:1 tcase, with 4inch rough country lift (assuming), and 35" micky tompson's on it... im pretty upset lol... i wish i had a couple grand to throw into one of them lol

but he bought it not build it...
